Macbeth Anticipation Guide - Individual Work

1. Agree. Behind every great man is a great woman because without support, there’s no motivation to accomplish anything. Nothing/no one to fight for. Without my father’s mother, he would never be the man he is today; caring, passionate, and hard working. 
2. Agree. There was always evil in this world. There will always be negativity to bring you down and persuade you to do/think wrong. When we sin, we are proof that evil does exist. 
3. Disagree. There’s always a way to get the things you need, without force and wrong doing. If you can’t get what you want, then it wasn’t meant to be needed. My friend was trying to persuade his drunk uncle to buy him a pack of cigarettes at a small gas station store. He ended up getting caught by his parents. Today, he hasn’t tried drugs or alcohol, he’s realized that he doesn’t need drugs to have a great life.
4. Agree. Just because someone has done something unforgivable, doesn’t mean you have to stoop down to their level. There’s nothing you’ll gain by getting revenge to the person that hurt you, kill them with kindness. A popular girl in middle school would always gossip about this nerdy boy that had a mental disorder. Everyone would make fun of him but he didn’t mind. High school came and he won prom king 2 years in a row and got a scholarship to the University of Oregon, he was very successful. The popular girl never had any friends in high school because of her big mouth and nasty attitude, everyone realized that she was very immature. 
5. Agree. We can all agree that we want many things such as fortune and popularity. Sometimes we can all get greedy and only care about ourselves and what we want instead of looking at the whole picture and realizing what are some possible consequences. My friend stole gum from a market to impress a girl that he liked for the longest time. She was rugged and not the brightest soul I’ve met. He was one of the kindest people i’ve ever met and he has good morals, but he really liked this girl and he would do anything for her. He got caught by one of the employee and ended up getting in trouble while the girl ran away. 
6. Disagree. If that person feels that the ruler is destroying the country, what does that person know. He/She wouldn’t have the facts/people to support his/her decision, that ruler could have a plan to make things even better. The class president was liked by everyone in school except for one girl who had a strong love for school. Anyways, their president was giving a speech about school. The girl took it the wrong way because she thought he was going to make school less enjoyable than it is now. She tried talking to the principle and cliques at school, they all thought she was crazy, and she was. Their class president was saying that they should create more school activities and possibly hire educational speakers to speak to every class. 
7. Agree. Not all murders are done because of hatred or mental illness. Sometimes it could be for self defense; to be proven with facts and evidence. A girl was on a run outside of her neighborhood. She always carried an iron rod and pepper spray just in case. Good thing she did because there was a suspicious man behind her and he rushed her to the ground unexpectedly. She began pepper spraying him and beating him with the iron rod. 
8. Disagree. “Success is worth any price you have to pay.” Taking this literally, success is a feeling you’ve earned and not have to pay $$$ for. There’s no easy way to succeed. Jordyn wasn’t the best at volleyball player when she was 9, but she played on a 16s team for her first year of club. Even though she didn’t play in tournaments, she always went to practice and arrived an hour earlier than everyone else. Throughout the years she improved not only every year but every week. Her senior year, she was an all star, the greatest setter/hitter/passer (all around player) i’ve ever known. She ended up receiving player of the year and received a full ride to Blinn College. 
9. Agree. Our goal in our life on earth is to serve God the best we can and to reflect his love to others through our actions. We are the Kings and Queens of our own lives but The Lord is The Almighty, we listen and fear Him. Pastors and Priests are like Kings of the Lord, they are the ones who keep our lives in tact and remind us that everything we do is for Him. 
10. Disagree. We have free will and can do whatever we want to do. A horoscope is just a prediction according to stars, but what do stars know about us? Yeah, nothing. Everyone is different. My sister was reading her favorite magazine and she turned to the horoscope page. It was very negative, saying that she was going to lose friends and regret her decision. She started her day worrying about everything and kept quiet and isolated the whole day, until her best friend talked to her, saying that it's all fake. We have the option of listening to our horoscope and worrying or decide on how your day is going to go, the way YOU like it. 
11. Disagree. Everyone should have a second chance. No one is perfect, and just because they betrayed you doesn't mean they're for sure going to do it again. My best friend before was my bully. Once I realized what she's been through, I've respected her for how strong she is.
